The Technician

Trained on the bench. Still on the bench.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Jacksonville University and a certificate from the Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology. He apprenticed under master flute technician Don Goettlieb, and has been a flutist for fifteen years and a repair technician for four. He currently performs with the Sarasota Pops Orchestra.

The work at Conk Wind Repair runs in two directions: a player who knows what a good flute should feel like, sitting at a bench making sure the flutes leaving here meet that bar.
